Film Collage Artist Announces Solo Exhibition with Brooklyn Film Camera

Erin Delsigne, who works under the moniker Film Collage Artist, announced today the opening night of her Instant Film Collage Photography exhibition entitled A Mile in Their Shoes on November 3rd 2022, 7-9pm at Brooklyn Film Camera located at 855 Grand Street Brooklyn, NY.

Delsigne’s work with Polaroid collaging is unique in the fact that her collages, both

small and large, are manually made, shot by shot, on location and developed on location.

“I create instant film collages using Polaroid and Fuji Instax film. Whether it’s

psychedelic landscapes or surreal portraiture, each piece of the collage is carefully

curated on-location, one shot at a time, until the collage is done in real-time”, says Delsigne.

“For me, collage photography is a way of creating art that speaks to a universal human condition; connecting bravery with empathy, supplying hope from mystery.”

The process of manually shooting collages is labor-intensive but brings authenticity to

Delsigne’s work. A Mile in Their Shoes generates new reflections on our relationships,

openness, and reactions to mystery, which the artist finds are important themes of

human connection. The exhibition is open to the public and runs through November 29,

2022. Refreshments will be served. For more information, visit www.filmcollageartist.com or follow @brooklynfilmcamera and @filmcollageartist on instagram.
